  • National Center for Hearing Assessment and Management at Utah State University

Through out the year the Greater Park Hill Sertoma Club sponsors events which include hearing screenings for your family members.  When we have enough volunteers available, we also provide volunteers to local hospitals to help with infant hearing screenings.  The local Sertoma Clubs have also been strong supporters of the Marion Downs Foundation over the last two decades. And, the Littleton Sertoma Club currently sponsors an Affiliate UCH Clinic which does hearing screening.

NCHAM (The National Center for Hearing Assessment and Management at Utah State University) has been the forerunner of infant hearing screening research since 1993. When you have the time, go to their website and browse through all the informative materials they have accumulated over the years to help you and your family achieve your goals with the best resources available to you. Click on this link to see the video of how Marion Downs lead the initiative in Colorado to help children overcome hearing loss.

"All states in the U. S. have established Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) (http://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/hearingloss/ehdiprograms.html ) programs. Of these, forty-three states plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico have mandated newborn hearing screening programs."  (https://report.nih.gov/NIHfactsheets/Pdfs/NewbornHearingScreening(NIDCD).pdf October/2010)
